New Orleans is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is filled with many cultures and traditions. In fact, it is so diverse that every part of the city is different. Metro Assembly Faith was designed to unite people from all over the New Orleans Metropolitan who are seeking freedom through Jesus Christ. We believe consistent Bible Study and Fellowship produces healthy Spiritual Growth. Using the many different aspects of Technology, our Ministry is very accessible and productive. Founded by Pastor Roosevelt Wright, III and Sandria Wright under the covering of Pastor Antoine Barriere and Dale Barriere as an extension of Household of Faith Family Worship International, the ministry was positioned from the beginning to mobilize a new generation of diverse believers with extravagant energy and ideas to build the Kingdom. We believe in One God. One Church. One City.
It is our goal to impact the lives of millions through our global initiatives and outreach platforms. Locally, the Ministry works with the New Orleans Mission Center to feed the growing number of Homeless New Orleanians. Through Boy Scouts and several other youth programs, we have been actively engaged in grooming youth to be productive citizens of society.
We have many nicknames! When people join Metro Assembly of Faith they instantly fall in love with our system. Some learn us as “Metro Church” while many of the youth refer to us as “The Met”. One thing we all agree on is we are a growing Faith Family inspired to enhance the lives of anyone connected to the vision.
The Trinity That God exists as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30, Matthew 28:19)
Denomination There is a difference in Denomination and Fellowship Affiliation. Many people get the two confused. While we unite and fellowship with other established Fellowships of the Gospel, we are a Non-Denominational assembly of believers.
The Word is God and everything that is created is created from the Word. He is living and real and His truths are the foundation for every area of life. (John 1:1-4)
Salvation is available to anyone who confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart that Jesus Is Lord. You will be instantly added unto His Chosen Generation of believers on Earth. (Romans 10:9)
Man is made in the image of God. He is the priority of all things created by God. He was designed to be the replicate of God’s character and authority on Earth. However, sin separates him from God. Through Jesus Christ man is made acceptable unto the Most High God. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23)
The Bible was written by man under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe it is inspired and endorsed by the Spirit of God without any error whatsoever. It is our God to healthy Christian living and declared the handbook for understanding the Truths of God. (2Peter 1:20, 2Timothy 3:16)
Baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ. (Acts 2:41, Colossians 2:12)
Communion is an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ to remember his sacrifice for us and to symbolize the new covenant. The elements of bread and wine are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross. (Matthew 26:26-29)
Worship is the entry gate to the Presence of God. We don’t just worship when the Praise Team sings a slow song. Worship is our way of life. It is why we were created. We worship Him because of who He is. His sovereignty. His majesty. When we completely submit to Him and allow Him to freely enter our hearts He can permeate our weaknesses and restore our broken areas. (1Chronicles 16:23-26, Psalms 99:5)
