The event, is part of a season long effort that Pastor Ro has implemented to focus on College and High School students. Sis. Tracie Madison, our Youth Director, has done a great job with our Youth for the past two years and her efforts will continue to evolve with the help of Bro. Jermy “Baby Kirk” Tassin and Bry Cooper, who both have signed on to help develop a relationship with our church and College students.
“Turn Up For Christ” was actually an invitation for College and High School students around the Metro to come together for prayer and fellowship as the first week of school began.
Bro. Tassin’s dance group, FNS Dance Crew, performed as well as our very own Praise & Worship Leader, Casme Barnes. One of our youth, Tameah Jones, sang “I’ll Rise Up” by Andra Day. Our very own comedian, Blowfish, had everyone laughing. Sis. Aaliyah sang “Fill Me Up” acapella and captivated every heart in the room. Young brother Tlyon rendered positive Hip Hop. The attendance was incredible and the entire event was well organized with the help of the Metro Telecommunications Ministry, headed by Keishawn Chopin.
More events like this one are planned throughout the Fall. Here are some highlights from this event. If you didn’t make this one, plan to make the next one.
