Metro hosts prayer breakfast for College and High School students

What do you get when you mix pancakes with energetic music? You’ll get a room filled with College and High School students! That’s exactly what Cafe Agape looked like when Metro Church held a Prayer Breakfast there recently.

Bro. Jermy Tassin, better known at Metro as “Baby Kirk”, shared a heart felt personal testimony about how making the wrong decision in life ended him up in jail. He shared with the youth how he had to break away from an environment which kept him in constant danger. He sought the Lord and has been walking with Jesus for over a decade now. The youth were magnetized by his honesty.

Sis Casme Barnes, our Praise & Worship Leader, spoke with the young ladies and young men about the importance of abstaining from sex and situations which make it easy to be tempted to do the wrong things. She shared her choice to live celibate with the youngsters and encouraged them to do the same.

The youth talked about today’s music and how distracting it can be at times. Many of them opened up and shared their truths with each other. Pastor Ro showed up giving out his “high-fives” and he prayed for the young adults. Our pastor promised the kids, if they want an activities and more opportunities to hang around their friends in a positive way Metro would love to sponsor their ideas. They were pleased to hear this. So, they are already planning the next event.
